CHERNOBYL EFFECT
Atomic radiation...
seemed harmless to mankind!
What did it do to me?
It made me luminescent!
I saw when I undressed,
in the darkness of my room,
that I glowed like a lamp,
lighting the ceiling and the wall!
They told me at the hospital
it was a passing thing,
in fact... I pay much less
for my electric bill.
But I am not convinced...
I would like to return
to what I was before:
a plain and normal man.
At night I cannot sleep...
I often smack myself
because with all that glow
gnats and mosquitoes come.
But they`ve already promised me,
if things don`t end up badly,
a position as the Comet
upon the Christmas tree!
